There is presented research of energy content and energy storage in aboveground phytomass of Dentaria bulbifera in stands of the geobiocoene type group Fagetum pauper. The study ran on 11 geobiocoenoses. Eight of them were beech stands in different phases of secondary succession. Three of them were mature stands with altered tree species composition (spruce, spruce-fir). The average values of energy content ranged from 16 750 J/g to 17 777 J/g. Energy storage (J/m2) in particular geobiocoenoses varied considerably (1.2 kJ/m2 - 107.1 kJ/m2). The energy accumulated in the shoots (J per shoot) varied from 642 J to 2 345 J. Significantly higher energy content (J/gl) and energy storage (kJ/m2) in aboveground phytomass of Dentaria bulbifera were found in stands with altered tree species composition (spruce and spruce-fir). The highest amount of accumulated energy in shoots of the investigated species (J per shoot) was found on the geobiocoenological research plot in state 5 years after the cutting.
