Bu çalısma ile Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatiflerinin genel durumu, Türkiye ekonomisindeki yeri ve Ağrı ilinde faaliyet gösteren Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatifleri incelenerek bölge ekonomisindeki yerleri hakkında bilgi verilmistir. Arastırmanın diğer bölümünde ise Ağrı ilinde faaliyet gösteren Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatifleri kırsal bölgelerde gıda isletmelerinin gelismesine sağlayabileceği katkılar ile kooperatifçilik ve isletmecilik açısından incelenmistir. Özellikle kırsal bölgelerde kurulacak ve proje uygulatılacak kooperatiflerin daha titizlikle seçilmesi, üretime katkı sağlayabilecek kooperatiflere öncelik verilmesi gerekmektedir.
