Sierra Leone - Current economic position and prospects

Sierra Leone's improved economic circumstances in the past two years and the increasing emphasis on accelerated development, particularly of agriculture and education, are noted. UNDP is expected to help with establishing planning machinery and with formulating comprehensive and sectoral plans. Concludes that continued fiscal, monetary and debt management policies in the wake of the stabilization program could have a significant impact on public finances.
