This Annual Report records the achievements of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency during fiscal year 1989. MIGA's investment insurance, dispute mediation services, and technical assistance generated strong results this fiscal year. As of June 30,1989, 73 countries had signed the convention and 52 of them had completed the ratification process. Eligible project sponsors originated in 10 MIGA member countries -Canada, Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In addition, 21 preliminary applications were received during the same period that were not registered because projects were not in member countries. The report includes financial statements and report of independent accounts by Price Waterhouse, as of June 30. 1989
