The Second Railway Development Project in Rhodesia and Nyasaland will consist of the improvement and the modernization program. This project will purchase: locomotives, rolling stock, and permanent way materials for the construction of a new line to the Portuguese East African border. It will provide an efficient and adequate system for public transport of goods and passengers, and will provide the necessary steps for extending and improving rail transport facilities.
