COSEPRE - Costs of urban cleaning services : technical documentation (version 1.0 - Windows 98)
Hewett, Ed
The COSEPRE (Costs of urban cleaning services, for its acronym in Spanish) software is a tool designed to analyze service costs in cleaning utilities. Once data on staff remuneration, cost of equipment, materials, and infrastructure have been recorded, the program calculates overall annual costs and unit cost per service. Among other functions, it provides the possibility of modifying some terminology used in the program; analyzes the need of a transfer station comparing costs of the collection and transfer and transportation services; and presents a cash flow to implement a sanitary landfill. The results of the program provide information to support the decision making process when urban cleaning plans and programs are being established. For the execution of the software, information concerning capital costs, operation and maintenance costs, personnel costs, and administrative and financial costs from the different urban cleaning services is required. In addition to determining the costs of each service, the program examines the need for implementing a transfer station based on unit cost analyses and presents a cash flow for the installation of a sanitary landfill.
