Современное состояние производства сахарной свеклы в Республике Беларусь

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analysed current state and the basic tendencies of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) production, prospects of the branch development were defined. There were some organizational and technological aspects of cultivation of the crop. Research results showed that over the last decades in Belarus there was marked significant growth of yielding capacity of sugar beet root crops. In 2010 the given parameter was equal to 395 centner/hectare. In accordance with it there was a growth of croppage yield of sugar beet along the country. In 2010 it was equal to 3769 thousands ton. In it planned to organize sugar beet production by the end 2015 at the level up to 5,5 million ton. It will make it possible to increase volumes of sugar production from sugar beets' raw material up to 720 thousand ton. The sowing lands under sugar beet crops will increase from 94,7 thousand hectares in 2010 up to 105 thousand hectares by the end of 2015. Cultivation of sugar beet becomes profitable in case of yielding capacity of root crops not less than 350 centner/hectare. The important factor for decreasing the cost price of sugar beet production is the concentration crop growing areas in the zone of sugar processing factories with radius of delivery no more than 70 km. For increase of interest sugar beet sowing farms in growth of a sugar beet manufacture expediently also constantly to maintain the developed mechanism of preferential crediting of sugar factories for 50% advancing of seasonal expenses for cultivation of this culture with subsidizing a part of interest rates from the budget.
