In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the influence of fertilizer application in combination with irrigation on yielding productivity of alfalfa (Medicago sativa). Also there was analysed the efficiency of application of phosphate-potassium fertilizers in the conditions of artificial soil moistening. As a result of the study in accordance with the indexers of dry matter yield and cost recovery of 1 kg of active substance of phosphate-potassium fertilizers by the yield, there was proved the influence of fertilizers and irrigation on yielding capacity of crops. Depending on conditions of soil moistening (natural and irrigation) the yield increase on the background of mineral nutrition with P120K180 (90+90) in comparison with the control variant without fertilizers was up to 35,2-40,5 centner/ha of dry matter (80,7-82,0). The highest recoupment of phosphate-potassium fertilizers (46,1-46,8 kg of dry matter per 1 kg of active substance of phosphoric -potash fertilizers) was obtained in the variants with application of P40K90 and P60K110 on the background of irrigation. It was shown that irrigation promoted to more efficient use of fertilizers for alfalfa growing in the conditions of Belarus.
