Study on establishment of field resistance of prospective potato (Solanum tuberosum) breeding material to virus diseases on the final stage of breeding was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2006-2009. The degrees of virus field resistance of prospective breeding lines were cleared up. As a result of three years trials the samples of very high, high and average field resistance to PVX, PVY, PVS, PVM, PLRV were selected. There was set that hybrid 002336-8N (middle-early variety group) possessed very high and high resistance to PVS, PVM and PVL and average field resistance to PVX and PVY. There was selected hybrid 7414-1 (middle-late variety group) which shown very high and high resistance to PVX, PVM and PVY and average field resistance to PVS and PVL. Hybrid 47-00-1 was marked by resistance to virus infections. It should be pay a lot of attention to using PVS-resistance initial form in virus resistance breeding was set. After complex evaluation 7 new varieties were released.
