Se distribuyeron 96 cerdas YL x H con 26 kg de PV de acuerdo con un diseño completamente aleatorizado en cuatro tratamientos: Maíz (Mz), Miel final (MF), Miel B (MB) y Miel rica (MR), que tuvieron como fuente proteica la Levadura torula.Las cochinatas después de la inseminación consumieron 2.5 kg de pienso de cereales (18% PB) hasta los 36 días de gestación que fueron sacrificadas y estudiados el contenido uterino y sus canales. Durante el crecimiento se encontraron diferencias (P0.01) para el peso final entre las cochinatas que consumieron el maíz y las que se alimentaron con miel B o miel final: Mz, 107.9; MF, 101.9; MB, 103.8 y MR, 106.1 kg. También existió una mejor conversión alimentaria (P0.001) en el tratamiento de maíz que en las de mieles: Mz, 2.22; MF, 4.45; MB, 4.26 y MR, 3.85 kg MS/kg ganancia. En el caso de la miel final fueron desechados un 20% de los animales por un bajo mcomportamiento. Al sacrificio se encontraron diferencias (P0.05) en el número de cuerpos lúteos a favor del Mz, sin embargo la cantidad y peso de los embriones no difirieron entre tratamientos. No se observaron cambios negativos en los rasgos de la canal, al utilizar las dietas de mieles en comparación con el maíz. Se sugiere utilizar la miel B en sustitución del maíz, como fuente energética de la dieta para el crecimiento de las cochinatas.

At slaughter there were differences (P0.05) in the number of corpus luteos in favour of maize treatment, hever the less the quantity and weight of the embryos were similar for all treatments. There were not negative changes in the carcass composition, when were used molasses diets in comparisson with maize. It is considered, to use B molasses in substitution of the maize, as energetic source in the diet for growing gilts.
