Based on a comprehensive literature review of research on the woody-based oil species Pistacia Chinensis Bunge,this paper summarizes the development and findings of this research,in terms of the main biological characteristics,physiological adaptability,cultivation,and exploitation and utilization.The paper discusses existing issues of development and concludes that further study on selection and breeding,cultivation and management,integration of production,study and research should be conducted.The paper also describesthe direction of future research and development along these lines.
