En el Servicio Ecuatoriano de Sanidad Agropecuaria (SESA) del Ministerio de Agricultura Ganadería Acuacultura y Pesca (MAGAP) se realizó un estudio para actualizar el inventario nacional de plagas que afectan al cultivo del durazno (Prunus persica L.). Para la actualización del inventario nacional de plagas se recopiló información de bases de datos, instituciones nacionales de investigación y universidades. Para determinar las plagas cuarentenarias se revisó información de las plagas que afectan al durazno en México, reportes de que estas plagas no se encuentran en Ecuador e información de que afectan al fruto del duraznero. De la actualización del inventario nacional se recopiló información de 33 plagas que atacan al cultivo del durazno en el Ecuador. Estas se dividieron de la siguiente manera: Insectos (9 especies), Ácaros (2), Hongos (11), Chromistas (1), Nemátodos (9) y Bacterias (1). De la elaboración de las Fichas Técnicas, se obtuvo una ficha para cada plaga cuarentenaria, las cuales fueron: Anastrepha ludens, Anthonomus quadrigibbus, Aonidiella citrina, Cydia pomonella, Platynota stultana y Rhagoletis pomonella

In the Ecuadorian Animal and Plant Health Service (SESA) of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Acuaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP) a study was conducted to update the national peach (Prunus persica L.) pest list. For updating the national pest list was gathered information from databases, national research institutions and universities. To determine the quarantine pests, it was revised information of the presence of pests that affects peach in Mexico country, reports that these pests are absent from Ecuador, and information that they affect to the peach fruit. From the update of the national pest list was gathered information 33 pests that attack to the peach crop in Ecuador. They were divided as follows: Insects (9 species), Acari (2), Fungi (11), Chromistas (1), Nematodes (9) and Bacteria (1). From the elaboration of the Technical Sheets, a record was elaborated for each quarantine pest, which were: Anastrepha ludens, Anthonomus quadrigibbus, Aonidiella citrina, Cydia pomonella, Platynota stultana and Rhagoletis pomonella.
