INTERÉS FILOGENÉTICO DERIVADO DEL ESTUDIO MORFOMÉTRICO DE LAS PLUMAS EN DIVERSOS COLÚMBIDOS DOMÉSTICOS Y SILVESTRES

anglais. Primary feathers P2 and P7 were obtained from fifty-seven individuals of eight pigeon breeds or species. Samples were scanned at high resolution and processed with a software package for their image treatment. Analyzed characters were: length of inner and outer edges, surface of inner and outer vanes, and length of calamus and shaft. A multivariate analysis was then conducted. The lengths of the inner and outer edges appear as the most discriminative variables. It is deduced that clustering between pigeon breeds could be explained by a morphometric relationship rather than functional or origin ones, and homomorphic and heteromorphic groups in comparison to the agriotype, the rock dove, can thus be differentiated.

espagnol; castillan. Se obtuvieron por arranque las rémiges primarias P7 y P2, de 57 especímenes de colúmbidos pertenecientes a cinco razas domésticas y tres especies silvestres distintas. Las plumas fueron escaneadas a gran resolución y procesadas posteriormente con un paquete informático de tratamiento de la imagen. Los caracteres analizados fueron: longitud de los bordes interno y externo, superficie de las láminas interna y externa, y longitud del cañón y del astil. A partir de ellos se realizó un análisis multivariante. Las longitudes de los bordes interno y externo aparecen como las variables más discriminantes. Se deduce que las agrupaciones entre las razas estudiadas, a partir de los caracteres considerados, se explicarían más por una relación morfométrica que funcional o de origen, pudiéndose considerar la existencia, dentro de las razas domésticas de palomas, de un grupo homomorfo y otro de heteromorfo respecto del agriotipo general, la paloma bravía.
