Studies on internal parasites of cattle egret and its role in the environmental pollution in some areas in Alexandria and Behera Governorates

A total of 35 cattle egert were collected from different locations in Alexandria and Behera Governorates, were captured alive. These birds are subjected for parasitological examination .Parasitological investigation revealed that eight species of parasites were identified. The infestation of Trematodes were Apharyngostrigea lbis((74.3%)) Apatemon gracilis(37.1%) Nephrostomum ramosum (25.7%). and,Heterophyes equalis(17.1%), Nematodes were,Synhimantus invaginatus(94.3%) Porrocaecum wu(14.2%) and,Heterocheiius species(5.7%).while Acanthocephala was, Centrorhynchus conspectus(2.8%) The public health importance of these results were discussed.
