The Impact of Trade Liberalization on Production of Agricultural Commodities and Related Fertilizer Use to 2000

The FAO's World Food Model (WFM) was used to undertake a comprehensive analysis of the impact of trade liberalization on the use of fertilizer. The WFM is a multicommodity, partial equilibrium model with individual country coverage and agricultural commodity details. The simulation results of WFM formed the basis for quantifying the impact of the Uruguay Rounds on the use of fertilizer.
