Findings of primary pathogenic microorganisms in the environment leading to udder infections and subclinical and clinical mastitis are a common occurrence on farms with intensive production of milk. Most common primary pathogens are bacteria of the genus Staphylococcus. Many studies have been conducted worldwide to investigate the spread of pathogens from the skin of the udder in the teat canal and udder. Identification of strains of bacteria of the genus Staphylococcus is essential for accurate diagnosis. The main objective of this study was to identify potential sources of infection for the development of staphylococcal mastitis.
