The paper describes the development of European energy markets of pellets and briquettes. In our country there are no established market for energy briquettes and pellets. Shows the volume of production of pellets from wood and agricultural biomass in several European countries. We analyzed the factors affecting market development. Date the price of wood pellets in bulk and in smaller packages. Shows the ratio of price to the prices of conventional fuels. We analyzed the development of domestic engineering and technology of biomass briquetting and pelleting. The proposal for establishing a domestic market for energy briquettes and pellets from biomass. The paper noted that the biomass pelleting and our future prospects.
