The contributions aim was to analyse the situation concerning direct sales of agricultural products from the farm in Slovakia and to predict its future development up to 2015 with possible effect on agrarian employment. The analyse includes cow and sheep milk, beef, pig, sheep and poultry meat, fruits and vegetables. From the results it was ensued that up to 2015 the direct supply volume is to be increased especially in connection with legislative feasibility to expand processing of agrarian commodities and direct sales not only to consumers but also to local restaurants and eating facilities. In the mentioned time horizon, the employment in the direct sales segment could be increased by 94 %. The sector of direct sales of meat, meat products and vegetables disposes of the highest potential for the employment development.
