Study of weed control in sweet corn, waxy corn and baby corn were conducted at the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center, during November 2009 - January 2010. The objective of this experiment was to study on the efficiency of herbicides and their effects on sweet corn, waxy corn and baby corn. The experiment laid out in RCBD, composed of 3 replications, 10 treatments, 2,4-D amine, 2,4-D ester at the rate of 200 and 220 gram/rai glufosinate of 700, 800 and 900 gram/rai and paraquat of 200 gram/rai compared to pendimethalin and hand weeding. The results revealed that purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus), wild poinsettia (Euphorbia heterophylla), tropical spiderwort (Commelina benghalensis) and Itchgrass (Rottboellia cochinchinensis) were found in this experiment were. The application of 2,4-D at the both rate of 200 and 220 g/rai, respectively and glufosinate at the rate of 700, 800 and 900 g/rai, as post-emergence herbicide gave weed control of 87-92 percent, better than pendimethalin as pre-emergence herbicide and hand weeding of 63-67, and they were not affected to green ear yield, standard ear weight, and number of good ear of sweet corn, waxy corn and baby corn.
