The present paper deals with the study of effect of Asp-Glu dipeptide (Sigma, USA, lot 056K1507) on the associative learning in the conditioned passive avoidance reflex (CPAR) paradigm on rats from different lines (SHR and August), which was realized in the conditions of The Inst. of Pharmacology and Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The obtained data testify to the presence of nootropic effect in the tested compound in 0,1; 0,5 and 5,0 mg/kg doses intraperitoneally. There were shown the interlinear differences of Asp-Glu effects concerning the associative learning in inbred rats SHR and August: the dipeptid improves the mnestic functions in the CPAR test in August animals; however it does not influence the 'deficite' in SHR rats. The obtained data allow to suppose a genetically conditioned individual sensitivity to psychotro¬pic effects of Asp-Glu. The most clearly nootropic effect of Asp-Glu dipeptide was exhibited in medium cognitive deficiency conditions for August animal units in 'August-September' period.
