Intensification of agriculture, increasing power capacity and efficiency of tillage equipment, at the same time enforces negative influence of agricultural machines on soil (soil panning, moisture loss, increase of mineralization, development of wind and water erosion of soils). Therefore, further production increase should be balanced with implementation of scientifically substantiated technologies of soil cultivation and tillage. Light soils, prevailing in the Republic of Belarus, are characterized with high intensity of crumb formation and low moisture content. Traditional system of moldboard tillage and sowing on light sandy soils increases erosion and reduces fertility of the soils and productivity of crops. The main goal of the research appears development of the complex soil-protective measures of tillage and design of the tillage equipment, possessing moisture saving and erosion preventing. Soil and moisture saving technologies and mechanization of light soils in the Republic of Belarus are considered. Some engineering decisions, schemes and models of new aggregates, constructed in the Republican Unitary Enterprise "The Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agriculture Mechanization" are presented. Main advantages of the equipment are substantiated.
