In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were examined regularities of the dependence of technical-technological parameters of balers: mass, capacity required for the process execution and productivity per hour of the main time of work on the change in volume of formed bale or roll, which is considered the basis of the classification of machine types. There were obtained analytical dependences and determined the amount of work, made by balers during agrotechnical period of harvesting fodder crops, taking into account natural and economic conditions. The obtained results of research could be used for the projecting of new balers and determination of the number of machines required for the concrete conditions of a farm.
