Yield trial and stability of late and medium maturing promising hybrids of maize
2012
Rafiee, Masoud | Chokan, R | Noor Mohamadi, S
In order to select the best late and medium maturing promising hybrids of maize for different parts of Iran, spetialy Lorestan province, this experiment was done in different locations, such as Khorramabad in 2009 and 2010, using RCBD in 4 replications. Different agronomic traits were measured during growth period yearly. Simple analyse of variance was done after harvesting in each year and compound analyse of variance was done at end. Result of compound analyse of variance showed the significant difference between years. Avarage grain yield of 9.7 and 10.6 ton/ha was produced in first and second year of experiment, respectively. Effect of year*genotype interaction on most traits such as grain yield were significant. Highest grain yield of 12.7 ton/ha was produced by genotype number 10 (K3653/2*K18) in first year and highest grain yield of 12.9 ton/ha was produced by control number 10 (KSC704) in second year.
