Study of effect of different planting date on quantitative and qualitative yields of pearl millet cv.Nutrifeed

This experiment was conducted to study fresh, dry and grain yiled and protein content of pearl millet cv.Nutifeed in four planting date(date of 2/15,2/30,3/15 and 3/30)by using RCB design with three replication in Karaj region. Data were recorded on traits such as grain, fresh forage yield and Dry forage yield lodging tolerance and plant hight. The grain, fresh forage yield and Dry forage yield of each treatment was also determined by harvesting harvesting area of a center rows in each plot, and the wights were then adjusted to 14% of moisture for grain and dry forage yield. Result indicated that there were significant difference for all traits among varieties at 0.01 probability level. Mean comparisons showed that planting date of 2/15 and 2/30 with the fresh forage yield of 95.6 t/h and planting date of 2/30 with the dry forage yield of 21.78 t/h and 3.19t/h protein yield had the highest values among the other treatment
