This research was conducted to investigate the growth potential and important agronomic characteristics of itriticale genotypes in international under rainfed condition in dryland agricultural research station of Maragheh and Shirvn during 2008-09. In this research 84 lines in ovsevation nursery (40 th ITSN)and 30 lines in the yield trial (40thITYN) in RCBD experiment with two replications evaluated comparing to Azar2 and Gaur (promising line of triticale). Grain yield and main agronomic characteristics influencing yield like early maturity, plant height, thousand kernel weight, seed shrinkage, resistance to diseases and environmental stresses was measured and noted. The most important factors in selection were earlyness and no shirinkage. The result of experiments in Maragheh showed that 44 lines in ITSN and 9 line in ITYN have high yield potential. The best lines of ITYN was No. 24 and 30 produced 2937 and 2950 kg /ha grain yield that was 7 and 8 percent more than check. In the Shirvan sation most of lines in ITYN test were superir than Azar2 and then 26 line selected. the best line eas No 10 with grain yield of 1552 kg/ha and 195 percent more than check (Azar2).
