Observational study of rice lines and cultivars from international INGER-IIRON nursery

The transfer of rice genotypes and lines through the International Network for Germplasm Evaluation of Rice (INGER) is an efficient way for enhancing yield potential and varietal diversity in rice culture regions in the world which is coordinated by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). In this way, in the 37th round of international evaluation of irrigated rice in observational nurseries (IIRON), 75 early rice lines and cultivars from different countries alongside with 3 international and one local checks were planted based on an augmented arrangement with 5 replications (blocks) in Amol. Measurements were made on plant height, days to flowering, plot yield, seedling vigor, acceptability, tiller number and reaction to field pests and diseases. According to plant yield and acceptability of plant and seeds, lines OM4498, OMCS2009 and NSIC RC152 were selected for further analyses
