This investigation was carried out in Iran country between years 2003 to 2005. The main purpose of the study was identification and revised on the species , genera and Podophyllaceae family in Iran. Different Flora like European, Turkey and Russia Flora have studied podophyllaceae plants in Berberidaceae , others like Pakistan and Iraqi Flora in Leonticaceae and in Flora Iranica reported as Podophyllaceae. There are three genera , four species and two subspecies reported from Iran in Flora Iranica by K.H. Rechinger. One of them by name Epimedium pinnatum only can find in Northern forest, the others genera and their species exist in Irano _Toranian region and Zagrosian province. At final of the study , family characteristics were comlpeted. For example , There was no reporting that some of the genera belong to Podophyllaceae like Epimedium has stipule or has stem branches and stem leaves. And also there are synonymed two of subspecies as the same by name Leontice leontopetalum. It confirms Bongardia as monotypic genera and has one species by name Bongardia chrysogonum.
