Determination of the Best Sowing and Harvesting Dates and Evaluation of Possibility of Sugar Beet Production in Tropical Areas

Sugar is one of the most important energic material that have major roll in humanbeing feeding . for sugar beet production in most area have different problems. Determination of best sowing and harvestig date is important. Because suitable sowing and harvestig date can be very effective on root yield and sugar content. For this reason four sowing date (1 shahrivar, 20 shahrivar, 10 mehr and 1 aban) and three harvestig date (15 farvardin, 15 ordibehesht and 15 khordad) based on complete block design in factorial with four replication conducted in four area. Results showed that in all of area date of sowing in 1 shahrivar and 20 shahrivar better than the other sowing date. Delay in harvesting date caused increased root yield. Sugar content in the first and second date was better
