This study was conducted to investigate the possibility of autumn sowing of sugar beet in sugar factory TORBAT JAME. This experiment was sown on two planting date(15 September and 15 October) with six varieties of sugar beet. Harvest dates of sugar beet was (1 May and 1June) on year 2009 in the city of TORBAT-E-JAME. The results of this study showed that there were significant differences between planting dates. Early planting of sugar beet was increased root yield, sugar yield and the bolting percent. Delayed of planting was reduced root yield, sugar yield and bolting percent. Between varieties in terms of root yield and sugar percent and bolting percent was significantly difference. Cultivars of GIADA and MONATUNO was the highest root yield and the lowest bolting percent root yield and sugar percent and bolting percent was different between tow dates of harvested and have differences significant. Overall early harvest caused decrease was root yield sugar yield. The average root yield of about 52/5 ton/ha and record of root yield was 79/3 ton/ha. Average sugar percent was %15/8 and record sugar percent was %18/7 the average of white sugar yield was 6/5 ton/ha and the record in these conditions 10/4 ton/ha, bolting percent average was 2 percent for the resistant cultivars and 75 percent for susceptible cultivars. Average extraction efficiency of was 87 percent and record was 97/8 percent, the average water consumption 50 percent lower compared to spring sown and was equal with water consumption of cereal. Based on the results of this study there are possibility of planting sugar beet in TORBAT-E-JAME and must be was development in this condition.
