As conclusions of the worldwide studies a lot of detrimental organisms pest and fungal diseases that are seen pre- harvest and post-harvest, period on carrots, are described and methods are suggested for control and prevention of diseases. Carrots are stored for a long time after harvest and fungal agents cause considerable losses due to improper storage conditions in carrot stores.

Havuç ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalarda, havuçlarda hasat öncesi ve sonrası dönemde oluşan çok sayıda fungal hastalıklar ile ilgili sorunlar ortaya konulmuş ve bunlardan bazılarına ilişkin mücadele önerileri verilmiştir. Havuçlar hasat edildikten sonra uzun süre muhafaza edilmekte, uygun olmayan depolama koşullarında patojenler nedeni ile önemli kayıplar oluşmaktadır.
