Present status and future of table fig cultivation in Turkey | Türkiye'de sofralık incir yetiştiriciliğinin mevcut durumu ve geleceği

anglais. Turkey is most important country for both dried and table fig production or exportation in the world. Germany, France, Holland, and England are the most important countries for table fig exportation of Turkey. In recent years, table figs are an increasing trend in the world market and Turkey's table fig has not yet fulfilled for its export potential. Export prices of table fig in 2010 and 2011 years of Turkey ranged between 2 and 3 $/kg and this values were one of the highest revenue-generating product within the fresh fruit industry. Currently, all of the table fig exportation of Turkey is carried out with the 'Bursa Siyahı' cultivar. In these days, the cultivar is expanding rapidly due to the advantages of early production in Mersin and Hatay provinces, the Mediterranean region. However, for a sustainable increase in fig production, there is a need to develop new table figs while considering the maturity period, quality, and preferences of the consumer. For this purpose, regional adaptation of the promising genotypes that are obtained from the selection is very important. Besides, new cultivars which are appropriate for consumer preferences should be development in new breeding studies as soon as possible.

turc. Türkiye, dünya'da kuru ve sofralık incir üretimi ve ihracatı yapan en önemli ülkedir. Türkiye'nin sofralık incir ihracatı yaptığı en önemli ülkeler Almanya, Fransa, Hollanda ve İngiltere'dir. Son yıllarda, dünya piyasasında sofralık incire olan talep, artış eğilimindedir ve Türkiye'nin sofralık incir ihracat potansiyeli henüz tam olarak kullanılamamaktadır. Türkiye'nin 2010 ve 2011 yıllarındaki sofralık incir ihracat fiyatları ortalama 2-3 $/kg arasında değişim göstermiş ve bu değer ile taze meyve sektöründe en yüksek gelir getiren ürünler arasında yer almıştır. Mevcut durumda, sofralık incir ihracatımızın tamamına yakını 'Bursa Siyahı' çeşidi ile gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu çeşit Bursa ili dışında son yıllarda, erkenci yetiştiriciliğin avantajları nedeniyle, Akdeniz Bölgesi'ndeki Adana, Hatay ve Mersin illerinde hızla yayılmaktadır. Ancak, mevcut üretimi arttırmak için 'Bursa Siyahı' çeşidi yanında, tüketici tercihlerine uygun, erkenci ve geççi yeni çeşitlerle derim periyodunun uzatılması gerekmektedir. Bu amaçla, seleksiyon çalışmalarından elde edilen ümitvar genotiplerin bölgesel adaptasyonlarının yapılması yanında, kaliteli çeşit elde etmek için yeni ıslah programlarına kısa zamanda başlanılmalıdır.
