Due to the lack of rainfall in the country and improper spatio-temporal distribution of rainfall and occurrence of several droughts in the last twenty years, the need to shift the traditional irrigation methods to sprinkler and drip irrigation systems can be felt more than ever. A solution to upgrade the quality of implemented irrigation systems is tecghnical evaluation of these systems. In this study, the performance of drip irrigation systems in Khatam (farms of Kh1, Kh2, Kh3 and Kh4), Tabas (farms of Ta1, Ta2, Ta3 and Ta4) and Abarkouh (farms of Ab1, Ab2, Ab3 and Ab4) were evaluated and parametrs of Potential Application Efficiency of Lower Quarter (PELQ), Actual Application Efficency of Lower Quarter (AELQ), Emission Uniformity (EU), Depth of Applied Water (DAW) and Efficency Reducetion Factor (ERF) were calculated. Additionally, curves of pressure and discharge changes along the lateral and manifold pipes were prepared and interpreted. The results indicated that the lowest values for the PELQ, AELQ, EU, DAW and ERF parameters were 40.9, 45.4, 45.4, 1.25 and 0.88 that observed in Kh4, Kh4, Kh4, Ta4 and Kh2 farms, respectively. Highest values for these parametrs were 79.0, 87.8, 87.8, 20.32 and 1 that observed in Kh2, Kh2, Kh2, Ta1 and Ta1 farms, respectively. Generally speaking, major problems for the studied drip irrigation systems refer to dripper clogging, inadequate and low ouflow dripper discharges compared to the primary designed estimates, inadequate and nonuniform distribution of pressure and discharge of the system, inappropriate functioning of the central control units and management problems.
