Pollen beetle (Meligethes aeneus) is an important pest of productive phase of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) in Mazandaran province. Adult beetles and their larvae feed on pollens and buds causing damage. In order to introduce new insecticides for chemical control of this pest, this project was carried out in a Randomized Complete Blocks Design with seven treatments and three replications in Mazandaran province in 2011. The treatments were Biscaya 24%OD, as a new insectide with three doses (350 ml/ha, 250 ml/ha and 300 ml/ha), diazinon (1500 ml/ha), Confidor (1000 ml/ha), phosalon (3000 ml/ha) and control. Insecticide application was carried out when in average 7 beetles per plants were counted during green to yellow bud stage of the crop. Sampling and counting of the beetles was done 1 day before and 1, 3, 7 & 14 days after treatment by randomly selected the main raceme of 10 plants from each plot. Data were analyzed with SAS software, the means were compared using Duncan and the pest mortality was calculated by Henderson-Tilton formula. The results showed that Biscaya 24%OD (350 ml/ha) and Confidor (1000 ml/ha) had the most efficacy on control the pest larvae and both are recommendable for the pollen beetles control in Mazandaran province.
