This experiment was performed in order to adopt the research findings and to evaluate barley salt tolerance cultivars. So, local cultivars and released salt tolerance lines of barley were cultured in saline farms of the area, to familiarize the farmers with introduced varieties closely and to increase their trust to research results. The evaluated cultivars include salt tolerance lines of 5 and 4, Sahra or LB.Iran, Torkeman, Bomi and Mahor which evaluated within on farm condition of Golestan and saline soil condition of Age Gala region. Soil salinity was 13.25 and 19.82 dS/m in the depth of 0-30 and 30-60 centimeters, respectively. The average soil salinity at the root zone was 6.9 dS/m. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Complete Block Design with 3 replications. The important characteristics and yield components recorded at the end of the cropping season. Results of this study showed that there was significant difference among evaluated cultivars at 5% confidence level. The highest grain yield obtained in Line 4 with 2899.0 kg.ha-1. Sahra and Line 5 with the yields of 2884.3 and 2801.0 kg.ha-1 placed in the next group Which had no significant difference together and in comparison with line 4.
