Experiment basis in a complete randomized design was applied to study the effect of age and periods on growth rate and carcass characteristics. The diet of fattening kids was to biased of AFRC. Fattening period were 3 months. Kids individually weighted every month. At the end of fattening period a month, 4 kids were slaughtered for each group of age. Average of body weight for end of experiment for groups of age 3, 5 and 7 months were 20.54±4.4 , 23.75±5.4 and 30.94±6.4Kg(P0.01).Average daily gain for groups were 125±35, 143±43 and 175±31 g(P0.01) respectively. Carcass dressing percentages for groups of age 3, 5 and 7 months respectively 40.9±2.74, 43.5±3.9 and 43.4±2(P0.01) respectively. Carcass lean and fat percentages for groups were 76.7±1.5, 76.24±2.1 and 79±3.9 (P0.01) respectively and carcass bone percentages were 76.7±1.5, 76.24±2.1 and 79±3.9 (P0.01) respectively. Results of factor Feedlot groups of 3, 5 and 7 months were suitable for fattening. But kids of age 3 month were suitable than of two groups 5 and 7 month for fattening.
