Evaluation and determination of dencity and model of planting in sesame advanced lines in the Khouzestan
2005
Ghodrati, Gholam Reza
In order to investigate and determination of the most suitable density and planting pattern of three advanced sesame lines with control variety ( local Dezfiil ) , this experiment was conducted as strip block factorial with four replication for two years. The horizontal factor was included three row spacings of 30 , 37.5 and 45 cm , and the verteal factor was included of two sub factors : four sesame lines ( local Dezful , local Hajiabad , TN238 and Chinese x varamin2822 ) and the distance between plants on a row with three levels (10 , 15 and 20 cm) respectively, and the experiment was conducted as a factorial design (12 treatments in total). There was no significant difference for phenological charecteristics between lines. As combined variance analysis showed there was also no significant difference for seed yield per unit area except for the distance between, plants , and the highest seed yield was acheived with 10 cm of distance between plants . Finaly with considering the results of two years , for the best combined option from this three factors in this experiment we can say that the local Dezful and TN238 lines with planting patterns of 37.5 x 10 and/or 37.5 x 15 cm and average seed yield of 1200 kg/ha were the best option and could be interoduced and suggested to extension organizations.
