Investigation of genotype effect on clonal tea at nursery grafting.

In order to achieve the tea nursery grafting technique and production of composite plants this research was conducted in a randomized blocks design with 9 treatments in 3 replications at Shahid Eslami tea research station. in this research 3 genotype consists of promissing clone 100, selected clone NO= (2021) and foricgn clone (DN) used as stock and scion. Qualitative factors sush as total polyphenols, polyphenol oxidase enzyme and peroxidase enzyme rate and proteinin in the nearest leaves to grafting in grafted and cutting (control) after grafting were measured . Also quantitative characters such as dry matter, plant height, number of leaf and stem diameter and percentage of success after grafting and cuttings without grafting (control)were investigated . Result showed that the success rate was significantly different (α= %1). The successrate of cuttings in all cases were more than grafting. Among grafted plants , grafting of clone100 onclone DN showed %56 success. Also the result for total polyphenol , polyphenol oxidase enzyme and protein showed significant different (α = %1) between grafting and cuttings plants. But proxidase enzyme showed nonsignificant between grafting grafting and cutting plants. Dry matter percentage , plant height , leaf number and stem diameter between grafted plants and cuttings was not significant. Mean comparison showed that the highest amount of total polyphenol belongs to grafted plant of 100/2021 with %13.75 and lowest in clone 100(control) was %10.42 .the highest amount of protein to grafted plant (DN2021) and lowest to cutting plants (DN) with %13.5 and% 9 percent respectively . key words : Camellia sinensis , nursery grafting , the scion and stock interaction.
