In order to achieve high yielding breed wheat lines/ varieties with good adaptability in saline areas , this study was carried out in fiver research stations. A randomized complete block design (RCBD) was setup with 21 newly promising lines and varieties including three checks (Arg,Bam and Karchia ) in 3 replications at 4 agricultural research stations namely ,Yazd ,Zabol ,Kerman,Esfahan and Birjand under saline conditions for two years cropping seasons (Ecwater=8-12ds/m and Ecsoil=9-14 ds/m). During the cropping season the following field data were recorded , days to heading (DHE), plant height (PLH), thousand kernel weight (TKW), shuttering and days to maturity (DMA). After harvesting, grains of each plot were weighted separately and collected data were analyzed. Results of stability analysis on grain yield using non-parametric method of ranking based on(R) and SDR, comparing the mean yield of the lines, due to Yield Index Ratio (YIR%), field notes and reaction to diseases showed that genotypes no.6,13,14,15,16 and 17 were yield stable and high adaptable genotypes .These superior lines were selected to be evaluated/ studied in on-farm trials.
