d Jamali, Mohammad
In order to determine the efficacy of herbicides in corn fields, an experiment was carried out under RCBD with 11 treatments & 4 replications during 2009 in Fars Agri. Res. Center.Treatments included: 1.Nicosulfuron (Cruse or Samson) 2 l/h post emerg.( 3 - 6 leaved corn).2. Furamsulfuron ( Equip ) 2.5 l/h post e. 3. Rimsulfuron ( Titus ) 50 g/h + surfactant post e.4. Ultima (Nicosulfuron + Rimsulfuron) post e. at 175 g/h + Citovaite 0.5%. 5 & 6. Lumax (Mesotrion+ S-metolacholor+ Terbuthlazine) p.e.at 4 & 4.5 l/h. 7&8. Lumax post e. at 4 & 4.5 l/h. 9. 2,4,D at 1.5 l/h post e. 10.Eradican 6 l/h P.P.I .11. Weed-free treatment. Results indicated that Ultima, Cruse, Equip, 2,4,D & Lumax post e. at 4l/h & 4.5 l/h ranked first class. Assessment of density and dry wt of Sorghum halepense showed Cruse, Equip, Ultima & Eradican got the same class as weed free control. Data refering to Amaranthus retroflexus, Portulaca oleracea, Solanum nigrum, Heliotropium europium andAnchusa italica showed Cruse, Equip, Ultima, Lumax post e. at 4 & 4.5 l/h& 2,4,D ranked to weed free class.Pre- emerg.
