Effect of irrigation levels, nitrogen and potassium rate on yield and yield components of rice Var. Hashemi.

In order to determine the optimum amount of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers under different irrigation regimes on yield and yield components of rice Hashmi, a pot experiment (first year -1388) and a field (second and third years - from 1389 to 1390), as a factorial experiment in randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted at Rice Research Institute.The results of the pot experiment showed that irrigation treatments on plant height, panicle length and straw yield were ineffective. Highest grain yield was obtained with eight days interval irrigation that dose not significant difference with regular watering. Also, it was found that increasing the amount of potassium fertilizer up to 200 kg /h is affected of plant characteristics such as grain yield. Interaction of irrigation and nitrogen also irrigation and potassium treatments were effective on some of plant characteristics so that interaction of irrigation and nitrogen treatments showed that increasing nitrogen even in conditions of water scarcity could increase yield, 100 seed weight and tillers.Field experiment results showed that drought stress increased crop yield and nitrogen fertilizer effects on all traits and yield components.In this condition the periodic irrigation saves water consumption to 8 percent and increased water use efficiency to 12 percent, also nitrogen consumption caused no significant increase in total water use, but the effect on grain yield was significantly increased water consumption productivity improvement.
