Effects of adjuvants in broadleaf killer herbicides efficacy of sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L .)

An experiment was conducted to investigate on efficacy of conventional herbicides of broadleaf weed of sugarbeet that either mixed or not with surfactant in Karaj, during 2003. The randomized complete block design with four replications was adopted and the treatments were included as application of Betanal+Piramin (6,4.5 and 3 kg(lit).ha-1 for each component) and application of Betanal+Betanal AM+ Piramin (4, 3 and 2 kg(lit).ha-1 for each component) that used with surfactant ( Citogate, Trend90, Volk and Sunflower oil) or without it. The treatments weedy and weedfree were taken as checks. EWRC ratings showd that relative phyto-toxicity of chemical treatment on sugarbeet caused on root yield. Weedfree check significantly better than all other treatments and between herbicides treatments was not significant difference. The Group comparision test resulted in no difference between surfactant applications or without it. In addition to it no significant difference was between high dose applications of herbicide against low dose of it in each group. Key.
