Evaluation o scientiic journals o Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO)

The aim o this research is to evaluate the degree o adaptation o AREEO's scientiic journals with standards and investigating their index ability in reliable databases. Checklists are used or data gathering.Survey is used as research method. A Checklist consists o 24 criteria, 16 or evaluation and 8 or the way o indexing o journals in reliable internal and external databases, is prepared. A checklist completed or each journal. The collected data are entered into the Excel sotware and analyzed. 28 published scientiic journals in AREEO was the research population. The research indings show that the "Iranian Journal o isheries Science" which is publishing in English language, reached the irst rank (58 o 60 points). The second rank (55 o 60) belongs simultaneously to "Iranian Botanical journal", "Iranian ishery scientiic journal", "Veterinary journal (Pajouhesh va Sazandegi), and "Village and development journal". Journals o "Iran's Wood a Paper Research", Agricultural Economy and Development', "Soil researches', Seed and plant line breeding" and" Seed and plant line cultivating" gained jointly the third rank (54 o 60). Regarding the indexing o journals in national and international databases, "Archives o Razi Institute journal" and "Iranian Journal o isheries Science", which both are publishing in English language, reached 17 scores and get the irst rank. Vegetative Journal" and "Vegetative pests and diseases" with 15 and 13 scores, simultaneously achieved the second and third level. According to the total inal score, "Iranian Journal o isheries Science" with the score o 75, achieved the irst level and "Vegetative journal" and "Archives o Razi Institute" (both with 67 scores) achieved the second rank and "Iranian ishery scientiic Journal) (64 score) last in the third rank.
