The article analyzes the data, obtained while evaluating the genetic quality of stags during the event “Annual Deer Antler Competition”, which has been held in the farm “Saulstari” in Sigulda region since 2007. The genetic quality of stags is determined by evaluating antlers that animals have cast off in the middle of winter or those that have been cut off live animals before the rut. The research is based on the results that were obtained during the evaluation of antlers from 2011 to 2013. The quality analysis of antlers was carried out by using the data set that provided information on 213 stag antlers. The evaluation of stag antlers was carried out using the CIC (International Council for game and wildlife conservation) trophy evaluation methodology that had been modified by the LWABA (Latvian Wild Animal Breeders Association). The modified methodology prescribes that certain trophy characteristics, such as antler spread and skull mass, are given maximum score. It is not possible to measure these characteristics while farm animals are alive. Morphological characteristics for the research have been determined separately for cast and cut antlers. The quality of antlers has been analyzed according to age groups and bloodline groups. The total number of points for one (pure) bloodline stags exceeded the result of crossbreed blood stags by 16.98 points. The final evaluation of trophies in points showed a close correlation with the weight of antlers r=0.840**, and a medium close correlation with the length of antlers r= 0.687** and the number of tines r = 0.586**.
