Flora of the peat swamp forest of Loagan Bunut National Park, Sarawak

A total of 97 species of flowering plants and ferns from 42 families was recorded from Teluk Udang, Teluk Bedil, Teluk Lepa, Sungai babi and along the riverine of Sungai Bunut. Among the tree species that are identified are the important timbers of the peat swamp such as Shorea albida (Alan), Gonystylus bancanus (Ramin), Dryobalanops rappa (Kapur paya), Dactylocladus stenostachys (Jongkong), Shorea inaequilateralis (Semayur), Dyera polyphylla (jelutong), Cratoxylum glaucum (Geronggang padang), Combretocarpus rotundatus (Keruntum), Tristaniopsis beccarii (Selunsor merah) and Platea excelsa var. riedeliana (Jejangkang). Platycerium ridleyi is considered as a new record for Sarawak.
