Afficher plus [+] Moins [-]Environments and the natural resources they hold often straddle across country borders or exist in habitats that are not part of any national territory. This publication includes 17 papers that were presented at the Symposium of Transborder Environmental and Natural Resource Management. The cases discussed by the 22 scientists covered different resources, including river systems in Europe, international sea commodities, tropical forest habitats in Southeast Asia, Africa and South America and even yellow dust that originates in Chinese and Mongolian deserts, but impacts the lives of people in Korea. The analysis of the cases presented focus on policy framework, the negotiations and actual multilateral cooperation of transborder management.
