The parameters describing growth and development at experimental heifers of black-motley breed of the Belarus, American, Canadian, Swedish and Hungarian selection at a birth, and also in the age of 6, 12, 18 months and on the third month after calving have been studied in KSUP 'Plemzavod Korelichi' and GP 'Plemzavod Ross'' in the Grodno area of the Republic of Belarus. It is established that the animals of the Belarusian and Swedish breeding more compact, have abroad and deep body, a well-developed chest, compared with peers of the American, Canadian and Hungarian breeding, which have a more pronounced dairy type. Daughters of bulls of the Belarusian, Canadian and Hungarian breeding received no significant differences in terms of milk production. However, heifers, bulls received from American breeding superior to his contemporaries' yield of milk, fat and protein milk, heifers, bulls received from the Swedish selection - the content off at and protein in milk This indicates a better adaptation capability and allows greater use of Canadian and Swedish cattle breeding to improve the quality and quantity of indicators of milk production in the Republic of Belarus.
