In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented data on comparative studies of the ascorbic acid content of aromatic plants growing in the Central Botanical Garden (CBG) of NAS of Belarus. Objects of study were the following plants of the Lamiaceae family - 8 varieties of medicinal plants breeding CBG NASB: savory mountain top Satyreja tana L. - 'Sapphire', oregano - Origanum vulgare L. - 'Greta', hyssop officinalis - Hyssopus officinalis L. - 'Lapis' , wrinkled mnogokolosnik Agastache rugosa (Fisch. et CA Mey.) O. Kuntze - 'Korall', peppermint Mentha piperita L. - 'Ocharovanie', Melissa officinalis Melissa officinalis L. - 'Zarya', Salvia officinalis Salvia officinalis L. - 'Prometheus' censer Sarmatian Melittis sarmatica Klock. - 'Nezhnost, and clary sage (Salvia sclarea L.), lavender Kolosov (real) Lavandula officinalis Chaix. fistulose and Monarda (Monarda punctata L.), growing on the territory of the laboratory plant biodiversity resources of the Central Botanical Garden of NAS of Belarus. As a result of the original work there was obtained basic information on the characteristics of the accumulation of ascorbic acid, prospective members of the family Lamiaceae.
