In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results into the study of the influence of winter triticale (Triticosecale) cultivation conditions on crude protein content in the grain of this crop. Content of crude protein in winter triticale grain is one of the main indicators of its quality and is more dependent on agro-ecological factors than the varietal characteristics of this culture. Optimization of nitrogen nutrition of plants rendered the most significant effect on the above mentioned index along with soil and weather conditions. In a much lesser degree the content of crude protein in the grain of the culture depends on the proceeding crop, the method of tillage, sowing, seeding rate, and the use of pesticides, trace elements and physiologically active substances. It is shown that factors differed by the importance of the influence on the above parameter can be arranged in the decreasing order: weather conditions in the period of vegetation – optimization of nitrogen nutrition - soil cultivation level - variety - predecessor - tillage - application of pesticides, micro elements, and physiologically active substances.
