The article gives the results of investigating such marine fish as Pollock uneviscerated and Arctic cod (polar cod), sold through the medium of trade network in the frozen form, in order to detect various representatives of parasite fauna (ecto- and endoparasites). Extensity and intensity of the invasion of these fish species as well as viability of anisakis larvae have been defined. The following representatives of parasite fauna have been found: the Pollock has Nybelinia larvae (Nybeliniasurminicola), proboscis worms (Echinorhynchus) and anisakis larvae (Anisakis simplex); Arctic cod has anisakis larvae and representatives of parasitic crustaceans. Under mechanical irritation anisakis larvae did not show any motor activity and were considered non-viable. The ex-amined batch of fish is decontaminated well enough and poses no hazard to life of humans and carnivorous animals. Also in some of the examined Pollock specimen indurations of triangular shape have been found in the muscles of the abdominal wall. Under compression ultrasanography of these indurations formless mass can be seen, which hasn't been differentiated yet
