The aim of this study was at determining the appropriate solvent and extraction method for crude extract antioxidant of corn bran. This research was using description method with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was extraction method that was consisted of two degrees: soxhlet and maceration. The second factor was the type of solvent: hexane, ethyl acetate and ethanol. The result showed that maceration extraction with hexane (the yield was 10.14 percent w/w crude extract) had the highest antioxidant activity among the other treatments.
